7 August 2012 Film maker Jon and Trailblazers short listed for awards
A great start to the week for Trailblazers with the news that our campaigns have been short listed for the Charity Times Awards. Meanwhile film-maker and campaigner Jon Hastie has been chosen as a finalist in the Wessex Charity Awards in the Volunteer of the Year category.
The Charity Times Awards will take place on 18 October 2012 at the Lancaster London Hotel and is the first time Trailblazers has been recognised by the awards. The Wessex Charity Awards will be held at Winchester Guildhall on Thursday 11 October.
Trailblazers Project Manager Bobby Ancil said:
What a great way to start the week! Jon has done so much to raise awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy this year and he and his film A Life Worth Living have inspired people across the country. It's also great to see that Trailblazers' campaigners have been recognised by the Charity Times Awards and I look forward to hearing the results in the autumn.
