Housing Investigation - Evidence

I was living with my parents, in a garage conversion that had been adapted to meet my needs. This was fine but I couldn't access the kitchen, so my family had to cook all my meals for me. I was told by the local authority that I wasn't a priority case because I already had a home, even though I wasn't living independently. They said that as all of the local accessible properties were occupied, I would have to wait until someone died before one became available.

I've never known a developer in this area to consult with disabled people ahead of a project, though I may be wrong. Accessible housing doesn't seem to be a priority.
