How did you first hear about Trailblazers?
Trailblazers was mentioned to me by other members of the Muscular Dystrophy group. I was asked if I would like to be involved in campaigning on issues that I felt strongly about that affected me and other young disabled people.
What made you want to get involved with Trailblazers?
I wanted to get involved with Trailblazers because I felt it would be a good way to get disabled peoples opinions heard and would have an impact on improving services.
If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would it be and why?
I would like to spend a day with Take That. I believe they are historical because they have made British pop music history! Since the 90's they have made it possible for all other boy bands to form and have success. They themselves have had major success and have had the following of millions of fans.
I think they are the greatest boy band ever. It was their reunion after 10 years apart that helped me to be independent. I was determined to attend their reunion gig and I have been to more concerts since then, than I ever thought I would! It would be a dream come true to spend a day with them. I would listen to them sing forever.
If there was one thing I could change it would be......
I would improve access to shops, bars and restaurants. This would include the height of bars and counters and changing room facilities. I like to shop, eat out and go for drinks with friends. If I could improve these 3 places I would be happier.
Favourite food?
Sunday Dinner with roast beef and roast potatoes.
Favourite drink?
Lemon and lime (sometimes vodka based).
Favourite sport to watch?
I don't like to watch sport.
Favourite TV show?
Home and Away. I watch it every day.
Favourite ice cream?
Vanilla with butterscotch sauce and a chocolate flake.
