When it comes to exploring issues of social inequality, there's nothing quite like the power of documentary film to give voice to opinions that might otherwise go unheard. Over the last few months, we've been putting this idea to the test by working with the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's young Trailblazers on a documentary exploring disabled access to cinemas in the UK.
Trailblazers are a group of young adults with muscular dystrophy, actively campaigning for disability rights in many walks of life. One of their main campaigning areas is disabled access to leisure venues.
Now, it might seem like a given to say that going to the cinema is a relaxing pastime, but Trailblazers' research has shown that this isn't always the case for disabled cinema-goers. Getting into the building, buying a ticket and finding an unobstructed view of the screen can be a challenge, and in extreme cases individuals have even been branded as fire risks.

great blog, i for one cant wait and im so proud of all the trailblazers taking part in so many ways. its something everyone should be proud of.
