15 May 2012 North East Trailblazers meet in Middlesbrough
Trailblazers from the North East met and joined forces in Middlesbrough on Saturday 12 May.
Young campaigners from across the area gathered at the Thistle Hotel where they discussed a wide range of subjects including disability hate crime and harassment, accessible housing and adaptations, services at cinemas and WWE wrestling.
In the afternoon Trailblazers Cath McNicol, Carolyn Bean, Jennifer Gallacher, Robert Sleight, Samia Shabir and Christina Humphries had the chance to watch and debate the new film A Life Worth Living: Pushing the Limits of Duchenne.
Trailblazer Cath McNicol showed her support for the film by commenting on our Facebook page:
A Life Worth Living was fantastic - 100% better than 'inside I'm dancing' :O)
Trailblazers Project Manager Bobby Ancil said:
It's almost a year sine we last met in Middlesbrough and it was great to catch up with everyone and it was particularly fascinating to hear how about Samia's obsession with WWE wrestling. We'll have to get her involved in future MDC WWE events.
