Baggage handlers have a tendency to trash powered wheelchairs. I arrived in France and had to use a manual wheelchair for a week because my power chair had been pulled apart.

They need to understand heavy duty wheelchairs as they often break them. I have a sign that I stick on my chair which says "please treat with care, this is a fragile old lady, if you break her, it is like breaking my legs!"
