11 June 2012 Cambridge meeting draws in new members
Trailblazers from Kings' Lynn, Diss, Hockley and Colchester met up in Cambridge on Saturday for the first East of England regional group meeting of 2012.
The Trailblazers were also joined by Regional Care Adviser Andrea Russell and Trailblazers project manager Bobby Ancil.
The group, led by regional ambassador Hannah-Lou Blackall, shared their experiences of meetings of the APPG for Young Disabled People, as well as spreading the word on disability sport including wheelchair basketball and boccia.
The group watched the film "A Life Worth Living, Pushing the Limits of Duchenne" presented and produced by campaigner Jon Hastie.
Bobby Ancil said:
It's always good to see new people at our regional group meetings. It's a great sign that Trailblazers travelled from Essex and Norfolk to attend this meeting, and I hope the Trailblazers found the meeting as valuable as I did.
