Midlands Trailblazers group meeting

Trailblazers in the Midlands held their latest regional group meeting in Nottingham on Saturday
Trailblazers ambassadors Jagz Sehmbi, Nirav Shah and Vivek Gohil were joined by new members Joe Hazel and Neil Corfield as well as family members and friends.
The group debated and shared ideas and solutions on important issues including, further education and sixth form colleges, housing, disability harassment and accessible transport.
In the afternoon session the group watched and discussed the Trailblazers' cinema documentary Lights, Camera, Access and watched a screening of ‘A Life Worth Living: Pushing the Limits of Duchenne'.

The Trailblazers joined forces and shared experiences. The group gave an update on the cinema campaign, the APPG and upcoming national campaigns.

East Midlands Trailblazers group meeting

East Midlands second group meeting
Jury's Inn, Nottingham City Centre 1pm-3pm
On September 16th, Trailblazers from the East Midlands held their second regional meeting at the Jury's Inn, Nottingham.
Trailblazers were updated on the Employment and Tourism campaigns, which were highlighted in the reports earlier this year. The group discussed overseas sandwich courses and work placements, and also shared experiences on university accommodation and support at work.
The group considered ideas for future campaigns and the Trailblazers All Party Parliamentary Group for young disabled people.

East Midlands Group Launch
Holiday Inn Nottingham City Centre 1pm-4pm
The East Midlands Trailblazers ran their their first group meeting in Nottingham at the Holiday Inn Express on April 7th.
The group discussed specific campaigns in the area including better disability awareness in education, music venues and dentistry.
Campaigns trainer Rosemary Frazer joined the Trailblazers, delivering a workshop and providing advice on how to lead an effective campaign.
