21 May 2012 Falkirk MD Meeting : Sad Yet Hopeful
On Saturday I went to the Scottish meeting for people affected by Muscular Dystrophy. As the meeting progressed I would be struck by an overwhelming sense of hope and determination. People who have difficulty just breathing had made their way to Falkirk Stadium to support and show solidarity with fellow sufferers.
One man in in particular highlighted this determination. His name was Mark Chapman. Despite having Duchenne MD he manages to chair the meetings and helps out with the Muscular Dystrophy campaign. He Introduced what was to be the bulk of the meeting, "A Life worth Living", a film by Jon Hastie (below), also a Duchenne sufferer.
