Campaigning with Trailblazers will give you the opportunity to acquire and build on skills that employers look for.

Trailblazers will develop and use all kinds of useful skills during the course of their involvement with the network where you’ll have a chance to work with experienced campaigners.

 Writing

  • write for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign magazine
  • get copy on the web
  • write to MPs
  • produce your own press release

Public speaking 

  • do interviews for newspapers TV and radio
  • speak at meetings
  • lead public discussions
  • take campaign training

Design

  • work with the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign in-house designer
  • come up with ideas for the website
  • design Trailblazers publications

Planning

  •  organise and run a campaign
  •  demonstrate your ability to plan and organise projects and people
  •  prove that you are management material
