Get involved
Is there something you would like to change?
Shout about it, campaign and make a difference!
Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of men.
Goethe
In order for us to effectively create change for the better in the lives of people living with neuromuscular conditions, Trailblazers need as much backing from the public as we can possibly get.
Tell your family, tell your friends, tell everyone you can. The campaigns we have been involved with in the past have only been successful because we have managed to create enough public interest to influence the minds of key decision makers in power.
Being a Trailblazer will give you the chance to get involved in all sorts of exciting activities in order to raise awareness of muscular dystrophy and create change.
How to get involved
- Be an undercover reporter – we need Trailblazers to identify the most accessible and inaccessible places across the nation and report back.
- Get political - regular Parliamentary events are held giving you the chance to run your own lobbying event at the House of Commons. You can influence key debates and be a part of the decision making process.
- Hone your skills - valuable work-experience can be gained by anyone wanting to put in some time at the Trailblazers offices. You can work on report writing, preparing press releases and organising and running campaigns.
- Hook up - it’s not just about hard work. We also organise and run exciting social events across the nation, giving you a chance to meet like-minded people and take part in activities you might not have had a chance to try before.
